1987 Sq. Ft. Bungalow with Walk-Out Basement. Lots of room and extras in this beautiful home plan. The front veranda has a stone railing with craftsman style posts to match the rest of the exterior on the front. Wider corners and trim around the doors & windows really makes this house stand out. From the large front entry you soon see the openness of this floor plan. Off to the left is a "Flex" room. Lots of possibilities here., like a den, spare room, etc. The "L" shaped kitchen has a corner pantry and large angled working island. The dining room has a bayed area with lots of windows and a double garden door leading to the large rear deck. The great room has a gas fireplace in between two windows. This part of the house has a 4-way vaulted ceiling. An open stairwell takes you to the
walkout basement. Down the hallway is the laundry room and access to an angled 3-car garage. Lots of extra storage space in the angled section of the garage. Past the laundry room you have a nice-sized spare bedroom with a three-piece bath across the hallway. The master bedroom features a bayed out area with a double garden door leading out to the rear deck. Also a walk-in closet and a four-piece ensuite with a 6 foot soaker tub. Why have a Walkout Basement or Daylight Basement ? The very popular Walkout Basement House Plan is used when building your home on a steeper grade such as a small hillside, providing an unobstructed view of the well manicured landscape while allowing light to enter the lower level. Because most homes built in Canada and the northern States have full foundations and those built on properties that have a slope to it, the basement with the walkout section can have full sized windows & doors just like the floor(s) above. For example, if the ground slopes downwards towards the back of the house, the basement is at or above grade (ground level) at the back of the house. Where the basement is above grade, the foundation is deeper at that point and must still be below the frostline. Since a walk-out basement is considered more desirable to potential buyers than a standard below-ground basement, it can increase the overall value of the house substantially, and can be claimed as part of the total available square footage. The possibility of incorporating a walk-out or daylight basement is one advantage of building on a sloped lot or hillside. Just about any plan can be made into a walkout basement. A great home for the acreage, farm or ranch. This home has all the features of a home in the city but also some of the features found in a country home plan. From the covered veranda, the foyer opens up to a common area that leads off to the bedrooms, dining room and kitchen. The great room is divided off with railing and a wood burning stove is in the corner. The large country-style kitchen has a corner walk-in pantry, a large working island with a lunch counter, and lots of cabinet and counter space. The nook in the bayed area has 2 garden doors leading out to the covered deck. Double French doors lead into the dining room. A laundry room and a 2-piece bath are located in the mudroom area. From the mudroom you access the covered rear patio (which leads down or up to the patios & decks in the rear) or into the oversized 3-car garage. The overhead doors are 8 ft. high. At the other end of the house you have 2 large bedrooms, a 3-piece bath and the master bedroom. The master has a bayed out area with a garden door to the rear deck.
