Bungalow with 2-Car Garage.   This plan is very practical.   Some of the nice features of this particular plan are the bedrooms and laundry are all on the same floor as the living space.   A nice 3-bedroom home with a big sunny kitchen/nook area and a huge walk-in pantry.   The nook has double garden doors that lead to a covered deck in the rear. The laundry room is conveniently located right inside the garage so dirty clothes can be dropped right into the washer on the way in.   The nook and master bedroom are candelivered for additional space.   A 3-piece ensuite and walk-in closet compliment the master bedroom.   Two overhead 10' x 8' doors in the garage and check out the rear garage with a small overhead door, which is perfect for your ATV, riding lawnmower, or workshop.   Overall, a great use of space!

Bungalow with Walkout & 2-Car Garage .   This plan has great curb appeal because of its roof lines and grand front entrance.   Enter into an open foyer looking into the great room and dining room, which is vaulted.   The kitchen has tons of counter and cupboard space.   Exit through double garden doors from the dining room to the back deck.   The master bedroom has a 5-piece ensuite and huge walk-in closet.   Main floor laundry is right beside the master bedroom.   An additional bedroom located on the main floor is convenient.   The office/den is very practical, but could be converted to an additional bedroom if desired.   The basement is unfinished but has a walkout/covered patio, so the options for design here are endless.   You will love the oversize garage with two 10'x8' overhead doors.

Bungalow with 2-Car Attached Garage & Basement Suite .   This Bungalow Plan has a suite in the basement for that additional revenue or extended family.   The stairs leading to the suite are right off the front entry.   A huge 1740 square feet is plenty big for a rental unit.   It has three bedrooms, an open concept, kitchen, dining, and living room, a large walk-in pantry, lots of closet space/storage, and a 3-piece bath.   The largest bedroom has its own walk-in closet and 4-piece ensuite.   The mechanical room is shared with the main level.   The main floor has three bedrooms.   The master has its own walk-in closet and 4-piece ensuite.   This floor also has a walk-through laundry room with sink and shelving, and a 3-piece bath.   An additional half bath is located just inside the garage so no need to travel through the house when working outside.   The front entry leads into the great room first.   The kitchen and dining room are open to the great room and all three rooms have a vaulted ceiling over them.   The kitchen has a large walk-in pantry and working island.   A garden doors lead out from the dining room to the large side deck, which is partially covered.   Another great floor plan with a rental unit.

Bungalow with 2-Car Garage .   This executive bungalow has a country-style appeal with its front covered veranda and decorative posts.   The stone on the angled garage and front of the house add to it's appeal.   From the front foyer, there is a den on the right as you enter, or enter from the garage through the large laundry and mudroom.   The kitchen has a coffered ceiling and many added features including a built-in oven, microwave, an additional bar fridge built under the corner counter, and two islands.   A large pantry compliments this kitchen.   Right next to the kitchen is the great room, which has a vaulted ceiling and 8'x8" decorative beams along the ceiling.   The attached dining room has a coffered ceiling and exits onto a large rear deck.   You can also exit onto the deck from the large master bedroom, which has a walk-in closet and 5-piece ensuite.   You will find an additional bedroom on this level which has its own guest bathroom.   Down the stairs from the great room, you will enter the large game/media room, along with a separate theater room.   There are two more bedrooms and a bathroom on this level, plus a huge storage room, including a cold storage area.   The mechanical room is also on this level.   The walkout area exits right beside the stairway leading to the upper deck for added convenience.   Dad will love his large new garage with an 18'x8' overhead door and room for a workshop area.   There is a 2-piece bathroom located in the garage as well.

Country Style Bungalow with 2-Car Angled Garage .   This is a basic three bedroom bungalow with craftsman style posts, a covered veranda, and an angled 2-car garage.   There is a 2-piece bathroom just in from the main foyer or garage entrance for convenience when working outside.   A large mudroom and main floor laundry is also located just inside the garage entrance for dropping off those dirty clothes.   The L-shaped kitchen has a corner walk-in pantry and an L-shaped island with eating counter.   The dining room has double garden doors leading to the front covered veranda.   The living room, dining room and kitchen are one big open concept with a vaulted ceiling.   The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and 3-piece ensuite.   There are two more bedrooms plus another 3-piece bathroom on this level.   The basement is undeveloped so you can add a family room, more bedrooms, an office, craft room, storage, etc., as you wish.   There is also access to the basement from the garage for added convenience.

Moving out to the peace and quiet of the country? Well, we probably have a house plan that you and your family can call home sweet home.  As far as a particular style of home being labelled a country home, (at least in western Canada) just about any style is used. By far, the most common design would be the Bungalow,   Ranch Style and the 2-Storey house plan. Because of extra building space available, you will see homes with 2-4 car attached garages, some of them placed on an angle to the house. A lot people will incorporate a Walkout or Daylight basement, and if the grade is not sloped enough, you will sometimes see retaining walls used. There are a lot of things that people put into the county home that the city dwellers do not, such as Oversized Garages with bigger doors, and for convenience, they put in a 2-piece bathroom in the garage. Even an access to the basement from the Garage (great for bringing in produce from the garden in the fall). On ranches you sometime see a Vet Room in the Garage. In the home, the most used area is the Kitchen and Dining area, so a large country style kitchen open to a dining area is used as that is where most of the day-to-day business is conducted, and where most of the entertaining is done. Large decks & verandas are very common.
