Ranch Style Plans, (also known as Rancher or Rambler ) is uniquely a North American style of House Plan. Similar to the Bungalow House Plans .  The Ranch Style is noted for its long, close-to-the-ground profile.  Lower pitched roofs and open floor plans with efficient use of space make the Ranch Style very popular. Popular in the rural area mostly because of the available space. Today's Ranch Style House Plans or Farmhouse or Acrerage Plans  uses the traditional look of the "working ranch" home but incorporate some new ideas such as vaulted & coffered ceilings, Mud Rooms off the garage.  Some Ranch Style Plans have an attached car garage and with some plans, the garage will be set at an angle to give the house a shorter look.  Most Ranch Style Plans will have some type of veranda on the front (some covered). Most Ranch Plans built in Canada will have full basements, some with Walkout Basements.   See  other E-Designs House Plans that could be made into a Ranch Style Plan in our Bungalows Without Garages ,   Bungalows with Garages ,   Narrow Lot Plans ,   and House Plans with Walkout Basements.

Bungalow with 2-Car Garage .   This executive bungalow has a country-style appeal with its front covered veranda and decorative posts.   The stone on the angled garage and front of the house add to it's appeal.   From the front foyer, there is a den on the right as you enter, or enter from the garage through the large laundry and mudroom.   The kitchen has a coffered ceiling and many added features including a built-in oven, microwave, an additional bar fridge built under the corner counter, and two islands.   A large pantry compliments this kitchen.   Right next to the kitchen is the great room, which has a vaulted ceiling and 8'x8" decorative beams along the ceiling.   The attached dining room has a coffered ceiling and exits onto a large rear deck.   You can also exit onto the deck from the large master bedroom, which has a walk-in closet and 5-piece ensuite.   You will find an additional bedroom on this level which has its own guest bathroom.   Down the stairs from the great room, you will enter the large game/media room, along with a separate theater room.   There are two more bedrooms and a bathroom on this level, plus a huge storage room, including a cold storage area.   The mechanical room is also on this level.   The walkout area exits right beside the stairway leading to the upper deck for added convenience.   Dad will love his large new garage with an 18'x8' overhead door and room for a workshop area.   There is a 2-piece bathroom located in the garage as well.

2-Storey Ranch Style with 3-Car Garage . Perfect for an acreage or farmhouse. From the front foyer, you enter into the great room and kitchen area, which is nice and open. A gas fireplace in the living room is practical for those cooler nights. The kitchen has a full size pantry with an eating counter as well as an island for added counter space. The U-shaped breakfast nook allows for lots of sunlight and exits onto the rear deck. It also has a separate dining room just off the main entrance. Main floor master bedroom and laundry is one of the benefits of this plan, along with an additional bedroom on the main floor, which could be converted to an office if preferred. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet as well as a 4-piece ensuite. Up the staircase to the second floor leads to a vaulted media room area which is partially open to below. It also houses an additional bedroom that could be converted to an office or used as a nanny suite. The dormers on the second floor have built-in window seats if you're looking for a spot for some peace and quiet, or a great view. If you need more room, the basement is undeveloped except for the mechanical area. More bedrooms or common areas could be developed there. A huge 3-car garage is great for those extra vehicles with large 10'x8' doors. It also has lots of room for a nice workshop area. There is a separate entrance to the basement from the garage for added convenience.

A great looking Ranch style bungalow  a walk-out basement.   A well laid out home with everything that a country home owner would want. The   covered front & rear verandas   feature craftsman style posts. An over sized garage with two 10'x8'   doors.   From the garage, a mud room is off the laundry room which includes a two-piece bath. From the mudroom, you can proceed to the lower level, living room, or enter the kitchen via the large walk through pantry. The L-shaped kitchen with a custom working island & lunch counter is open to the dining room and great room.   A two-sided gas fireplace with book shelves divides the dining and living room.   Access to the covered rear deck from the dining room French door.   The main three-piece bath is located next to the two large bedrooms. The master bedroom features a large walk-in closet and a five-piece ensuite which includes a 48" walk-in shower and corner jetted tub.   Need more room?   Check out the finished walkout basement which has two large bedrooms, each with a walk-in closet. A four-piece bath is located between both bedrooms.   French doors go into the exercise room. A large storage area beside the stairs.

1200 sq. ft. Ranch style Bungalow : Very open floor plan with that country feel and look. This plan has most of the features of a home twice this size. From the large L-shape kitchen with working islanding with a lunch counter to the openness of the dining and great rooms. Enjoy your quiet times by the fireplace in the great room which also feature a vaulted ceiling that runs the length of the house. The master bedroom has plenty of closet space and a 3 piece ensuite bath. The spare room is also a nice size. There is a 3 piece bathroom off the side entrance with a conveniently locate washer & dryer. This plan also features a nice sized garage 32" x 30'. Note the 2 piece bath in the garage, no need to mess up the house when working outside. The basement is not developed , so you can design it the way you would like.

This plan is perfect for town or the farm with its country-style look.   The front veranda is covered and provides protection from the sun and rain as you enjoy sitting outside.   The decorative columns give this plan great curb appeal.   From the front foyer you enter into the dining room area, which is open to the kitchen and great room as well.   This open-space concept makes this area look much larger.   Enjoy the gas fireplace in the corner of the great room on those cooler nights.   The great room is bayed out for additional space and light.   The    U-shaped kitchen has a lunch bar for additional seating.   The optional entrance from the front veranda is into a spacious mud room, right across from the main floor laundry, or enter from the back of the house into the same area.   A great place to store those chore clothes.   The master bedroom has a 3-piece ensuite and a walk-in closet.   An additional bedroom is available on this floor as well.   The basement is undeveloped, so more living space can be accommodated here if needed .
