As a Bi-Level is basically a home with a standard concrete foundation that is typically 4 feet in the ground with a 4–5-foot 2x6 wood framed wall sitting on the foundation wall. The advantage of these very popular plans is that it allows you to have 36" to 40" high window instead of the traditional little windows found in a basement. The front entry is usually at ground level.
